Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park infographics: what's built/what's coming/what's missing, who's responsible, + project FAQ/timeline (pinned post)

A new rendering of dense Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park; missing: some towers + "sprawling lawns"

So, new 550 Vanderbilt broker Ryan Serhant of Nest Seekers International writes on Facebook:
Introducing the first large scale rendering of Pacific Park Brooklyn. Master plan by Frank Gehry. Developed by Greenland Forest City. 22 acres from Barclays Center to my new project, 550 Vanderbilt. 8 acres of park space. Brooklyn's newest neighborhood. Incredible. Awe-inspiring. Email 550V@nestseekers.com for more information on this once-in-a-generation opportunity.

The rendering is pretty impressive, at least for density lovers. (There's no credit on the rendering; multiple architects have been working on various buildings, and no firm oversees the latest iteration of the master plan.) But a good deal is missing.

What about that "park"?

That "park space"--actually, publicly accessible, privately managed open space--isn't so visible. What happened to what Forest City said in June 2015?

As quoted in the Daily News:
“The park will make this pocket of the borough more livable for residents of many different Brooklyn neighborhoods," said MaryAnne Gilmartin, the president and CEO of Forest City, which plans to present the plans at a local community meeting on Wednesday. "There will no longer be a dearth of green space in the heart of Brooklyn. Instead, there will be sprawling lawns, shaded benches and valued neighborhood amenities across eight acres of public open space that will reknit these communities together."
At right is a rotated version of the open space plan, by Thomas Balsley Associates, showing most of the open space between buildings on the eastern end of the project site (top in rendering).

The open space is a lot easier to see when the view comes from directly above. (Note that there's no open space associated with the buildings around the arena, or at B15, just east of Sixth Avenue between Sixth and Carlton avenues, or at Site 5. catercorner to the arena and replacing Modell's and P.C. Richard.)

What's missing?

Actually, there's a lot missing from the rendering Serhant posted. Where's the planned two-tower project at Site 5 which could go up 785 feet? What about the B4 tower at the northeast corner of the arena block, rising 511 feet, the second-tallest building?

They're both absent, while the smaller B3 tower at the southeast corner of the arena block, aka 38 Sixth, seems to be outlined, but without lights, thus diminishing its presence.

Another view, with B4, at least

Below is a September 2015 rendering of the project site from the southeast, from KPF, the architect of the yet-unbuilt B12 tower, at the southeast block, highlighting the latter building's design.

It shows B4 (the taller building at the left, or west, end of the rendering), but not Site 5.
