Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park infographics: what's built/what's coming/what's missing, who's responsible, + project FAQ/timeline (pinned post)

Ok, is 550 Vanderbilt a) in Downtown Brooklyn; b) in Prospect Heights; c) in an imaginary new neighborhood?

I'm confused. First, as I wrote in June, real estate brokerage Corcoran located the 550 Vanderbilt condo in Downtown Brooklyn, even though it was clearly outside that neighborhood's boundaries. Now Corcoran has wised up and placed the tower in Prospect Heights.

But the developers of the project call Pacific Park "Brooklyn's newest neighborhood" and claim 550 Vanderbilt as part of this magical new entity:
Centrally located between Fort Greene, Boerum Hill, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, and Park Slope—and minutes away from Brooklyn’s downtown and waterfront as well as subways, trains, buses, and ferries—550 Vanderbilt keeps you connected to your destination, in New York and beyond.
How a building within Prospect Heights can be located between Prospect Heights and other neighborhoods is truly a trick of physics.
